The most valuable company in the world measured by market cap

The battle for the most valuable company in the world has been on fire over the last 3 weeks, with Microsoft, Nvidia and Apple exchanging places almost on a daily basis. After a strong first half of 2024, Microsoft is the most valuable company in the world. It passed longtime rival Apple and became the third company to reach a market capitalization of $3 trillion. Nonetheless, Nvidia is also in the race, and briefly became the most valuable company in the world on June 18th, fueled by the surge in demand for its flagship AI chips. The valuation of these three companies is so impressive that for the first time since 2005, the top 10 US companies' market cap reached China's GDP ($18 trillion) in June 2024. Let's see who will win this title at the end of the year.
